Kara C. Tanis joined Chapnick Community Association Law in April 2012. Prior to that, she was a solo practitioner in Boca Raton and an associate attorney with Weiner & Lynne, P.A. in Delray Beach. She focuses her practice on condominium and homeowners’ association transactional and litigation matters.

During her career, Ms. Tanis has, among other things, handled contract disputes; drafted leases, purchase and sale agreements; argued foreclosure proceedings; and written demand letters and settlement offers.

Ms. Tanis graduated Cum Laude from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton and earned her Juris Doctorate from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center in Davie in 2010.

In her spare time, Ms. Tanis enjoys scuba diving, spending time with her dogs and family, is an avid aquarist, and is an amateur gemologist and entomologist.
